FullSnap – Privacy Notice
Last updated:
This notice describes how the FullSnap browser extension, published by HSY Labs, handles data. It complements the HSY Labs Privacy Policy and prevails over it for FullSnap. For your rights and how to exercise them, see that policy or write to legal@hsylabs.com.
FullSnap handles a small amount of user data, only on your device, only to provide its single purpose: taking, editing and exporting screenshots of the web pages you choose. It never transmits, sells or shares that data.
01What data FullSnap handles
- Website content: the screenshots of the pages you decide to capture (full page, visible area or a region you select), their thumbnails, and the annotations and crops you add in the editor.
- Web history: for each screenshot, the address (URL) and title of the captured page and the date and time of the capture. They are shown in the extension's Screenshots history and used to name the exported files.
- Preferences: your settings (image format, file name template, PDF options…). They contain no personal data.
FullSnap reads a page only when you start a capture yourself (toolbar icon, keyboard shortcut or right-click menu). It does not monitor your browsing and does not access pages you do not capture.
02How it is used
Only to show, edit, export, copy and list your screenshots inside the extension. It is not used for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness or lending, or any purpose unrelated to taking screenshots.
03Where it is stored
- Screenshots, thumbnails, edits and the URL, title and time of each capture are stored locally, in the extension's storage inside your browser profile.
- Preferences are stored in the browser's extension settings storage. If you use Chrome Sync, Chrome synchronises them between your own devices; FullSnap itself does not send them anywhere.
05Permissions
FullSnap requests only what screenshots need: access to the current tab when you start a capture, storage for your screenshots and settings, a right-click menu, and the clipboard for the Copy button. The optional Downloads permission is requested only if you enable automatic downloads, a download subfolder or the "Save As" dialog, and is used solely to save the files you asked for.
06Retention and deletion
Screenshots are kept until you delete them. You can delete them at any time from the extension's Screenshots page, set an automatic retention period (7, 30 or 90 days) in Options, or uninstall the extension, which removes all its data from your browser. Files you already exported are not affected.
07Limited Use
The use of information received by FullSnap adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
08Changes and contact
If this notice changes, this page will be updated and the date above will change. Questions: legal@hsylabs.com.
